The Attorney General and Minister of Legal Affairs, Mohabir Anil Nandlall, met with the Chairwoman of the Deeds and Commercial Registry Authority, Ms. Christine McGowan, Registrar of the Deeds Registry (ag), Ms. Zanna Frank, and Registrar of the Commercial Registry, Ms. Nicole Prince, at the Attorney General’s Chambers, today.


The Deeds and Commercial Registry Authority falls under the portfolio of the Ministry of Legal Affairs.

The Chairwoman and the Registrars congratulated the Honourable Mohabir Anil Nandlall on his appointment as Attorney General and Minister of Legal Affairs.


The Attorney General shared his vision of modernizing and enhancing the efficiency of the Registries with the delegation and tasked them with submitting budgetary proposals, as well as their short-term and long-term objectives for the year and beyond.


The Attorney General emphasized that the priority of the Authority must remain providing efficient, courteous and competent services to every citizen, including the people of Berbice and Essequibo, where the Authority operates offices. Further, he shared his vision of modernizing the sector and requested an early meeting with the entire Board.
